Regular Season Round 21: Lecco - San Vendemiano 68-60

Date: February 19, 2017
No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Lecco (13-8) defeated at home 13th ranked San Vendemiano (6-15) 68-60 on Sunday. They outrebounded San Vendemiano 42-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Lecco looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Jacopo Balanzoni (203-93, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Daniele Quartieri (195-87, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Michele Antelli (183-98, agency: Players Group) who recorded 11 points and 6 assists and Andrea Muner (200-90) added 12 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lecco moved-up to fifth place in B, which they share with Faenza. Newly promoted San Vendemiano dropped to the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Lecco will face Milano Urania (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. San Vendemiano will play against Reggio Emilia (#11) and hope to win that game.
