Regular Season Round 40: Shinshu BW - Kumamoto V. 83-82

The most exciting game of round 40 in the B League D2 took place in Nagano. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked Kumamoto V. (29-9) to sixth ranked Shinshu BW (11-28) 83-82 on Sunday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 20-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Dutch power forward Jeroen van-der-List (213-89, college: Indian Hills CC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds and Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) who added 18 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Shinshu BW's coach Ryutaro Onodera used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida) responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Yuji Kanbara (183-89) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Shinshu BW maintains sixth position with 11-28 record. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the third place with nine games lost. Shinshu BW are looking forward to face league's second-placed Fukushima on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kumamoto V. will play against Aomori Watts and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
