Regular Season Round 39: Nagoya DD - Chiba Jets 80-86

An interesting game for Chiba Jets (25-13) which played road game in Nagoya against second-best Diamond Dolphins (21-17). Third ranked Chiba Jets managed to get a 6-point victory 86-80. Diamond Dolphins were ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 48-39 second half run of Chiba Jets. They made 26-of-32 charity shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American Tyler Stone (203-91, college: SE Missouri St., agency: Diamond Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) helped adding 17 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jerome Tillman (201-87, college: Ohio, agency: Inception Sports) with 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and guard Taito Nakahigashi (190-92) scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Chiba Jets have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 25-13 record having seven points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Diamond Dolphins at the other side keep the second position with 17 games lost. Chiba Jets will play against Akita Happinets (#5) at home in the next round. Diamond Dolphins will play against Ryukyu GK and hope to get back on the winning track.
