Regular Season Round 40: Bambitious Nara - Kagoshima 85-80

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Kagoshima (5-33) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Bambitious Nara (15-23) 85-80 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-80. Bambitious Nara forced 21 Kagoshima turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Daiki Terashita (190-80) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and American guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who added 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Bambitious Nara players scored in double figures. At the losing side Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and American-Panamanian forward Tymell Murphy (196-90, college: FIU) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Bambitious Nara have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 15-23 record. Loser Kagoshima keeps the sixth place with 33 games lost. Bambitious Nara will face league's leader Shimane Magic on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kagoshima will play against Yamagata (#3) and hope to win that game.
