Regular Season Round 20: TAKE Tolosa - Burgos 61-53

There was an upset when higher ranked Burgos (7-10) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked TAKE Tolosa (3-14) 61-53 on Sunday. Burgos trailed by 13 points at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 24-17 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 53-61 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was forward Jon Azaldegi (190-91) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Julen Aranzabal (203-91) chipped in 4 points and 8 rebounds. British guard Jules Akodo (188-96) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and center Alberto Duarte (202-92) added 10 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. TAKE Tolosa maintains fourteenth position in Group A-A with 3-14 record. Loser Burgos keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. TAKE Tolosa will face higher ranked Pielagos (#9) in Renedo de Pielagos in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
