Regular Season Round 22: Roseto - Recanati 81-65

Everything went according to plan when seventh ranked Roseto (13-9) beat at home 15th ranked Recanati (6-16) 81-65 on Sunday. American power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Roseto's coach Emanuele Di Paolantonio used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Swedish-American Erik Rush (196-88, college: Montana St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Travis Bader (196-91, college: Oakland) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Roseto moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Recanati keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Roseto will face league's second-placed Treviso Basket on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Recanati will play against Alma Trieste (#3) and hope to win that game.
