Regular Season Round 21: Centrum - Froya Basket 72-63

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Froya Basket (15-9) against fourth ranked Centrum (15-10) on Sunday night. Visiting Froya Basket was defeated by Centrum in a tough game in Oslo 63-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Froya Basket. The hosts were already 11 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 11-9 Froya Basket's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 72-63 at the end of the game. Centrum forced 21 Froya Basket turnovers. American Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) nailed 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Aksel Bolinz (201-90, college: N.Illinois) accounted for 16 points and 12 rebounds. American forward Jeff Harper (203-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and Latvian guard Edmunds Gabrans (188-79) added 16 points respectively for Froya Basket in the defeat. Centrum have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains fourth place with 15-10 record. Froya Basket at the other side keeps the third position with nine games lost. Centrum will play against league's second-placed Baerum Basket in Bekkestua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Froya Basket will play at home against Nidaros Jets and hopes to get back on the winning track.
