Regular Season Round 20: Rosalia - Betanzos 75-67

There was a small surprise in Santiago de Camp. where tenth ranked Rosalia (7-10) defeated 8th ranked Betanzos (8-9) 75-67 on Sunday. Betanzos trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 23-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-75 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was forward Pablo Posse (203-89) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Rosalia's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Senegalese power forward Abdou Thiam (204-98) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds and guard Guillermo Pereiro (191-89) added 23 points and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Rosalia moved-up to ninth place in Group A-B, which they share with Innova Chef. Loser Betanzos keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Rosalia will face higher ranked BVM 2012 (#3) in Mieres in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
