Rather predictable result in Rishon Le-Zion where seventh ranked Maccabi Rishon (10-9) smashed 11th ranked Maccabi Ashdod (5-14) 80-58. It looked good early as Maccabi Ashdod took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Belarusian point guard Maalik Wayns (185-91, college: Villanova) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. The former international Elishay Kadir (202-87) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Maccabi Rishon players scored in double figures.
