Regular Season Round 21: Barcellona - Forli Tigers 81-64

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Basket Barcellona (14-6) won against at home 8th ranked Forli Tigers (10-13) 81-64 on Sunday. Basket Barcellona made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Basket Barcellona outrebounded Forli Tigers 36-23 including 29 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Luigi Brunetti (205-88) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. Power forward Giacomo Sereni (202-84) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Francesco Forti (182-94, agency: Players Group) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basket Barcellona moved-up to fourth place in B. Newly promoted Forli Tigers dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. Basket Barcellona will face league's second-placed Valmontone on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Forli Tigers will play against Maddaloni (#16) and hope to win that game.
