Regular Season Round 13: Naft Abadan - Chemidor 93-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Abadan. Second ranked Naft Abadan faced 4th placed Chemidor. Host Naft Abadan (15-3) defeated guests from Tehran (10-8) 93-82. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-82. Naft Abadan dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Chemidor's 38. American-Ivorian guard Doron Perkins (189-83, college: Santa Clara) fired a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. British power forward Ryan Richards (212-91, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. American guard Daequan Cook (195-87, college: Ohio St.) produced 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and the former international forward Amir Sedighi (203-93) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chemidor's coach Javad Rahmatipour rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naft Abadan have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 15-3 record behind leader Petrochimi. Chemidor at the other side dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Naft Abadan are looking forward to face Shahrdari Gorgan (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chemidor will play against Arak (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
