Regular Season Round 26: Gimnasia LP - Parque Sur 90-71

Round 26 in TNA means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in La Plata where host Gimnasia LP (8-19) crushed league's leader Parque Sur (16-12) 90-71 on Tuesday evening. Gimnasia LP dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Parque Sur's 40. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Juan Lancieri (190-95) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Leonardo La Bella (180-86) chipped in 9 points and 14 assists. Gimnasia LP's coach Cesar Adriani used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Sebastian Bernasconi (203-86) produced 16 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Guido Mariani (193-94) added 17 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Gimnasia LP maintains sixth position with 8-19 record. Parque Sur at the other side dropped to the second place with 12 games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Union SF. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
