Everything went according to plan when third ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (14-6) outplayed 9th ranked Vasco Da G. (11-11) in Rio de Janeiro 90-64. They outrebounded Vasco Da G. 37-24 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Paschoalotto/Bauru players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international Jefferson Andrade (207-83) had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international point guard George-Yeye Torres (188-91) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Welington Dos-Santos (185-81) responded with 20 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and the former international Marcio Dornelles (196-75) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Paschoalotto/Bauru have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 14-6 record behind leader Flamengo, which they share with Vitoria. Vasco Da G. lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Caxias do Sul (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Vasco Da G. will play against Vivo/Franca (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
