Seventh-ranked Ciego (1-8) gave a tough game to top-ranked Villa Clara (10-0) in Avila on Tuesday. The visitors from Santa Clara managed to secure only three-point victory 87-84. However their fans expected much easier game. The former international swingman Andy Boffil (190-82) scored 30 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international center Yoel Cubillas (204-94) chipped in 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest.
