Very significant was Chunghwa Telecom's (#3, 6-6) victory against one of their biggest challengers Taipower (1-11) 57-52. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Li-Yun Wang (176-85) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-93) who added 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international guard Hsien-Fang Lin (168-91) responded with 13 points and international forward Yu-Chun Wei (173-92) scored 6 points. Taipower's coach Wei-Juan Qian tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Chunghwa Telecom have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-6 record having four points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Chunghwa Telecom will face again bottom-ranked Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taipower will play against the league's leader Cathay Life and hope to win that game.
