The game between closely ranked teams ended with third ranked Catz Lappeenranta's (15-8) road victory over 4th ranked Forssan Alku (12-11) 96-62 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Catz Lappeenranta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Forssan Alku's 32. They outrebounded Forssan Alku 58-28 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Catz Lappeenranta looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Forssan Alku's players. American players dominated the game. It was a good game for forward Samarie Walker (185-92, college: Kentucky, agency: Two Points) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Chandrea Jones (177-87, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Catz Lappeenranta players scored in double figures. Guard Ashley Clark (180-93, college: Tulsa) replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and guard Kiana Johnson (168-93, college: Virginia Union) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Forssan Alku. Forssan Alku's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Catz Lappeenranta have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Espoo Utd. Forssan Alku at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 11 games lost. Catz Lappeenranta will face Kouvottaret (#6) on the road in the next round. Forssan Alku will play against Aanekosken and hope to win that game.
