Regular Season Round 7: Delhi C. - Mumbai Ch. 106-129

The biggest surprise of round 7 in UBA League took place in Delhi where guest Mumbai Ch. (#1) crushed lower ranked Delhi C. (#2) by 23 points 129-106 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Delhi C.. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Mumbai Ch.. Delhi C. managed to win third quarter 29-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mumbai Ch. shot 60.2 percent from the field. They also forced 22 Delhi C. turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Mumbai Ch. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Alex Scales (192-78, college: Oregon) fired 45 points (!!!), 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Forward Inderbir Gill (193-87, college: Georgian) chipped in 17 points and 9 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Five Mumbai Ch. players scored in double figures. American guard Ronald March (196-93, college: Philander Smith) produced 62 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 blocks and international forward Amjyot Singh (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) added 27 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Mumbai Ch. maintains first place with 3-1 record. Delhi C. at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Punjab S.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
