Regular Season Round 35: Quimsa - Echague 93-68

Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Quimsa (20-15) outplayed 10th ranked Echague (6-30) in Santiado Estero 93-68 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Quimsa. Echague was better in fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Quimsa looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American Aaron Harper (203-81, college: Mississippi) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Nicolas Romano (200-87) contributed with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Quimsa players scored in double figures. Quimsa's coach Nestor Garcia felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Derrick Caracter (206-88, college: UTEP) answered with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and Sebastian Uranga (200-89) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Echague. Quimsa have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 20-15 record. Newly promoted Echague keeps the tenth position with 30 games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round. Echague will play at home against Weber Bahia (#3) and hope to win that game.
