Damligan top team - Udominate (23-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Telge (9-14) in Umea 80-46. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Telge. The game was mostly controlled by Udominate. Telge was better in second period 16-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Udominate held Telge to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Telge 37-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a quality performance for Latvian center Zenta Melnika (197-91) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international guard Martina Stalvant (176-89, agency: Two Points) accounted for 14 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Udominate players scored in double figures. American guard Tayler Mingo (170-92, college: Wright St.) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and international forward Ellen Astrom (170-96) added 6 points respectively for Telge in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Udominate will play against Norrkoping Dolphins (#5) on the road in the next round. Telge will play against IK Eos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
