Very significant was Taiyuan Textile's (#2, 7-5) victory against 4th ranked Taipower (1-11) 69-55. Taiyuan Textile had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Taiyuan Textile made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Pei-Chen Tsai (186-84) who helped to win the game recording 6 points and 14 rebounds and the former international power forward Shin-Ying Wu (177-87) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Taiyuan Textile players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Chi-Wen Lin (186-83) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and international forward Yu-Chun Wei (173-92) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiyuan Textile maintains second position with 7-5 record having just three points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Taiyuan Textile are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Chunghwa Telecom and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
