Bottom-ranked Tigres is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to third ranked Guerreros (7-4) 80-64 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Guerreros. Tigres managed to win second period 29-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Tigres 29-15 including a 23-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international guard Yuniskel Molina (185-93) who scored that evening 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Yosniel Moralez supported him with 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Guerreros players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 5 steals by Yoimar Lopez (-96) did not help to save the game for Tigres. Guard Carlos Villegas (197-94) added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guerreros have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 7-4 record having six points less than leader Villa Clara. Loser Tigres still closes the standings with 11 games lost. They share the position with Guantanamo. Guerreros will meet at home Capitalinos (#4) in the next round. Tigres will play against the league's leader Villa Clara and look forward to get finally their first victory.
