Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Argentino (16-19) lost to fourth ranked GECR Indalo (18-18) in Comodoro R. 74-84 on Saturday. Dominican center Eloy Vargas (211-88, college: Kentucky, agency: Duran International) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Carlos Schattmann (193-87) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. GECR Indalo's coach Gonzalo Garcia used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider, agency: DTMones) answered with 26 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Chaz Crawford (207-84, college: Drexel, agency: DTMones) added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Argentino. Five GECR Indalo and four Argentino players scored in double figures. GECR Indalo maintains fourth place with 18-18 record, which they share with Olimpico LB. Loser Argentino keeps the sixth position with 19 games lost. GECR Indalo will face league's second-placed Ferrocarril in Buenos Aires in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
