Regular Season Round 41: Tochigi Brex - Toyama Grouses 81-91

Top ranked Tochigi Brex (30-8) recorded its eighth loss at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Toyama Grouses (9-31) 91-81. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Tochigi Brex. The game was mostly controlled by Toyama Grouses. Tochigi Brex managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American center Dexter Pittman (208-88, college: Texas, agency: Inception Sports) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. Masashi Joho (183-82) chipped in 25 points. American power forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) produced 9 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists and international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) added 19 points respectively for the hosts. Four Tochigi Brex players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyama Grouses maintains sixth place with 9-31 record, which they share with Shiga L-Stars. Tochigi Brex at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They share it with Toyota Alvark. Toyama Grouses will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tochigi Brex will play again at home against Toyama Grouses and is hoping to win this game.
