Second Stage Round 6: LF Future - Trelleborg 101-95

There was a small surprise in Lulea where sixth ranked LF Future (3-4) won against one of their biggest challengers Trelleborg (4-5) 101-95 on Saturday. Trelleborg trailed by 24 points at halftime and as many as 26 after three quarters before a 35-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 95-101 at the end of the game. LF Future forced 21 Trelleborg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when LF Future made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American guard Brian Curry (185-86) who scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman David Jallow-Haggqvist (198-93) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. LF Future's coach Jim Enbom used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Papy Ndiaye (187-94) who recorded 25 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and guard Jordan-Gerami Lou (-97) added 26 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. LF Future moved-up to fifth place in Superettan. Loser Trelleborg keeps the fourth position with five games lost. LF Future will face Alvik Basket (#8) in Bromma in the next round. Trelleborg will play at home against the league's second-placed AIK (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
