A very close game took place in San Sebastian between Santurtzi and Easo. Sixth ranked Santurtzi (11-7) got a very close victory on the road over second-best Easo (13-5). Santurtzi managed to escape with a 1-point win 80-79 on Saturday evening. Santurtzi forced 19 Easo turnovers. Forward Joseba Iglesias (200-83) nailed 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and forward Imanol Orue-mazaga (202-96) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Asier Azpeitia (192-98) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and center Inigo Sarasola (207-95) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Easo in the defeat. Five Santurtzi and four Easo players scored in double figures. Santurtzi moved-up to fifth place in Group A-A, which they share with Valladolid Univ. Loser Easo dropped to the third position with five games lost. They share it with Ardoi. Santurtzi will meet at home Valladolid Univ. (#5) in the next round. Easo will play against TAKE Tolosa and hope to secure a win.
