Regular Season Round 19: Doxa Pefkon - Arkadikos 78-67

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked Doxa Pefkon and 10th ranked Arkadikos had identical 7-11 record. This time Doxa Pefkon used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Arkadia 78-67 on Saturday night. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Dimitrios Chatzikyriakidis (192-98) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Dimitris Kalampakas (202-89) accounted for 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Doxa Pefkon players scored in double figures. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and forward Giannis Prodromou (196-87) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Arkadikos in the defeat. Doxa Pefkon (8-11) moved-up to tenth place. Loser Arkadikos dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Amyntas Dafnis. Doxa Pefkon will meet GS Larissas (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Arkadikos will play against Aiolos Astakou (#5) and hope to secure a win.
