Regular Season Round 41: Toyotsu FE - Kagawa FA 90-81

Not a big story in a game in Nagoya where 5th ranked Kagawa FA (11-28) was defeated by first ranked Toyotsu FE (29-10) 90-81 on Saturday. Kagawa FA trailed by 12 points at halftime and as many as 20 after three quarters before a 31-20 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 81-90 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Nigerian center Solomon Alabi (216-88, college: Florida St.) who scored 21 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Sheriff Sow (201-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and Jamaican power forward Adrian Forbes (211-88, college: Auburn, agency: Haylett Sports) added 6 points and 16 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Toyotsu FE. They maintain first place with 29-10 record. Loser Kagawa FA keeps the fifth position with 28 games lost. Toyotsu FE will face again Kagawa FA (#5) in Takamatsu in the next round.
