An interesting game for Piestanske C. (7-3) which hosted in Piestany 4th ranked Samorin (0-10). Second ranked Piestanske C. managed to get a 7-point victory 68-61. Piestanske C. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 22. They outrebounded Samorin 38-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Monique Oliver (188-91, college: Rutgers) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 9 rebounds (made all of her seven free throws) and the former international Sabina Oroszova (190-93, college: E.Illinois) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Romana Vynuchalova (192-86, college: Penn St.) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and the former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) scored 17 points. Piestanske C. maintains second position in Places 1-4 with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Good Angels. Samorin at the other side still closes the standings with ten games lost. Piestanske C. will play against MBK Ruzomberok (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Samorin will play against the league's leader Good Angels in Kosice and hopes to get finally their first victory.
