Important game to mention about took place in Verona. Sixth ranked Udine Delser (11-7) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 7th ranked Alpo VF (10-9) 59-57 in the game for the sixth place. Udine Delser dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Alpo VF's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-British swingman Ejay Ofomata (180-86, college: Central State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and power forward Eva Da-Pozzo (182-95) who added 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Udine Delser players scored in double figures. Udine Delser's coach Valdi Medeot allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Laura Reani (183-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 15 rebounds and Bosnian Marina Dzinic (190-92) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Newly promoted Udine Delser maintains sixth position in A2 with 11-7 record. Alpo VF at the other side keeps the seventh place with nine games lost. Udine Delser will play against higher ranked Civitanova (#4) in Civitanova Marche in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Alpo VF will play on the road against Viterbo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
