Regular Season Round 15: Tokyo HT - Otsuka A. 85-62

Date: February 25, 2017
Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tokyo: Tokyo HT (#4) and Otsuka A. (#3). Tokyo HT (15-11) crushed visiting Otsuka A. (17-9) by 23 points 85-62. They outrebounded Otsuka A. 46-28 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Edward Morris (204-84, college: Pittsburg St.) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Four Tokyo HT players scored in double figures. American forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) came up with 15 points and swingman Shuichiro Samejima (188-87) added 17 points respectively for Otsuka A. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains fourth place with 15-11 record. Loser Otsuka A. keeps the third position with nine games lost. Tokyo HT will meet at home Aisin AW (#5) in the next round. Otsuka A.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo Cinq R..
