Regular Season Round 9: Delhi C. - Punjab S. 97-90

An interesting game for Delhi C. (3-2) which hosted in Delhi 3rd placed Punjab S. (2-3). Second ranked Delhi C. managed to get a 7-point victory 97-90. Punjab S. was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 30-16 third quarter run of Delhi C.. American guard Ronald March (196-93, college: Philander Smith) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and international forward Amjyot Singh (203-92, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 24 points. March is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Delhi C. players scored in double figures. Delhi C.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American guard Dermaine Crockrell (185-89, college: Bemidji St.) with a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and the former international power forward Gurvinder-Singh Gill (200-96) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Delhi C. maintains second place with 3-2 record having just one point less than leader Mumbai Ch. Punjab S. at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
