Regular Season Round 23: KFUM Ostersund - Alvik Basket 67-56

The game between third ranked Alvik Basket (14-10) and sixth ranked KFUM Ostersund (11-13) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Alvik Basket was defeated by KFUM Ostersund in Ostersund 67-56. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 36-24 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Norwegian guard Tina Moen (180-86, college: IPFW) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and international point guard Klara Lundquist (171-99) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Alvik Basket players scored in double figures. Newly promoted KFUM Ostersund maintains sixth place with 11-13 record. Alvik Basket at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. KFUM Ostersund are looking forward to face league's second-placed Lulea Basket at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alvik Basket will play against Mark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
