Regular Season Round 22: Forli Tigers - Maddaloni 101-78

There was no surprise when 16th ranked Maddaloni (2-20) was outleveled on the road by tenth ranked Forli Tigers (11-13) 101-78 on Saturday. Strangely Maddaloni outrebounded Forli Tigers 33-18 including 21 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. Forli Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Quite impressive performance for Luca Fontecchio (202-91, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 29 points. Point guard Francesco Forti (182-94, agency: Players Group) contributed with 11 points and 9 assists for the winners. Forli Tigers' coach Giampaolo Di Lorenzo felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Point guard Giangiacomo De-Vincenzo (180-94) replied with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and center Andrea Locci (203-93, agency: Players Group) added 18 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Maddaloni. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Forli Tigers moved-up to eighth place in B. Loser Maddaloni keeps the sixteenth position with 20 games lost. Forli Tigers will face Teramo (#11) on the road in the next round. Maddaloni will play against Roma Vis Nova (#12) and hope to win that game.
