Regular Season Round 22: Centrum - Baerum Basket 72-99

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Oslo. Second ranked Baerum Basket faced 4th ranked Centrum. Guests from Bekkestua (20-5) smashed host Centrum (15-11) 99-72. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Centrum. The game without a history. Baerum Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Baerum Basket forced 19 Centrum turnovers. American forward James Weatherspoon (198-92, college: Toledo) fired a double-double by scoring 43 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Stian Mjos (183-89) chipped in 32 points and 4 assists. The former international forward Miilah Kombat (198-88, college: N.Idaho JC) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Anders Stien (195-90) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Five Centrum players scored in double figures. Baerum Basket have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-5 record behind leader Kongsberg. Defending champion Centrum dropped to the fifth place with 11 games lost. Baerum Basket are looking forward to face league's leader Kongsberg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Centrum will have a break next round.
