Regular Season Round 19: Boulogne - Provence Basket 90-69

Round 19 in ProB means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Boulogne-sur-Mer where host SO Maritime Boulogne (7-12) crushed league's leader Provence Basket (14-5) 90-69 on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by SO Maritime Boulogne. Provence Basket managed to win second period 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SO Maritime Boulogne dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Provence Basket's 26. Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (204-88) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American guard Teddy Gipson (191-80, college: Arkansas, agency: Court Side) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. American swingman Aaron Broussard (195-90, college: Seattle) produced 16 points and swingman Raphael Desroses (199-80) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five SO Maritime Boulogne and four Provence Basket players scored in double figures. Provence Basket's coach Remi Giutta gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. SO Maritime Boulogne maintains seventeenth place with 7-12 record, which they share with St Chamond. Provence Basket at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Bourg who have the same record. Provence Basket will play next round against JA Vichy trying to make it back to the top of the standings. SO Maritime Boulogne will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Denain Voltaire at home.
