Regular Season Round 24: Nysa Klodzko - GKS Tychy 76-78

Sixteenth-ranked Nysa Klodzko (5-19) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked GKS Tychy (15-9) in Kloszko on Saturday. The visitors from Tychy managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. GKS Tychy made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. GKS Tychy outrebounded Nysa Klodzko 39-25 including 31 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by power forward Tomasz Bzdyra (200-83) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Karol Szpyrka (182-87) supported him with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by forward Marcin Bluma (201-89) did not help to save the game for Nysa Klodzko. Swingman Aleksander Lenczuk (193-93) added 22 points. GKS Tychy maintains fifth position with 15-9 record. Nysa Klodzko at the other side stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. GKS Tychy will meet at home AZS AGH Krk. (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nysa Klodzko will play against Polonia Leszno and hope to secure a win.
