Regular Season Round 19: TLU/Kalev - Rapla 74-98

The game in Tallinn supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Rapla (12-6) played at the court of 6th ranked TLU/Kalev (6-13). Rapla smashed TLU/Kalev 98-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rapla led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 22 TLU/Kalev turnovers. Strangely TLU/Kalev outrebounded Rapla 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Rapla especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Slovenian point guard Domen Bratoz (189-93) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 8 steals for the winners. The former international forward Indrek Kajupank (200-88) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian center Djordje Dzeletovic (205-93, agency: AproK Sports Group) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and forward Janis Vahter (196-86) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Rapla. They maintain third place with 12-6 record having six points less than leader Tartu Ulikool. Loser TLU/Kalev keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Rapla will meet at home league's second-placed Kalev/Cramo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TLU/Kalev's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tallinn TTU.
