Regular Season Round 19: Trikalla - AGOR 76-67

There was a minor upset when 7th ranked AGOR (8-11) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Aiolos Trikallon (8-11) 76-67. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-20 AGOR's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 76-67 at the end of the game. They outrebounded AGOR 37-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kelsey Barlow (196-91, college: Ill.-Chicago) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Lithuanian Gilvydas Biruta (203-91, college: Rhode Island) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Aiolos Trikallon's coach Giannis Kastritis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Robert Arnold (198-88, college: Boise St.) answered with 17 points and the other American import forward Toarlyn Fitzpatrick (203-89, college: S.Florida) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for AGOR. Four AGOR players scored in double figures. Aiolos Trikallon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with AGOR and Promitheas. Aiolos Trikallon's next round opponent will be higher ranked PAOK (#5) in Thessaloniki and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
