Regular Season Round 19: Nice - Landes 58-55

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Basket Landes (13-6) against ninth ranked Nice (8-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Basket Landes was edged by Nice in a tough game in Nice 55-58. Basket Landes was ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 18-12 charge of Nice, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for international forward Laetitia Kamba (187-87) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Ambrosia Anderson (186-84, college: BYU, agency: Two Points) accounted for 13 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Nice's coach Rachid Meziane allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) came up with 9 points and 6 rebounds and international Celine Dumerc (169-82) added 7 points and 6 assists respectively for Basket Landes in the defeat. Nice moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Hainaut. Basket Landes at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Villeneuve. Nice will play against Lyon (#11) on the road in the next round. Basket Landes will play against Villeneuve D'Ascq (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
