No shocking result in a game when tenth ranked Cadi La Seu (9-11) beat bottom-ranked Gran Canaria (3-17) in Seu D'urgell 62-49 on Saturday. The game without a history. Cadi La Seu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mali power forward Meiya Tirera (186-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Tania Perez (183-91) contributed with 14 points and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Maria Royo (178-86) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Mali center Mariam Coulibaly (183-97) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Gran Canaria. Cadi La Seu moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Gran Canaria lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Cadi La Seu will face Zamarat (#12) in Zamora in the next round where they are favorite. Gran Canaria will play at home against Gipuzkoa UPV and hope to win that game.
