Regular Season Round 19: CFBB - Montbrison 56-68

Very predictable result in Paris where ninth ranked Montbrison (9-10) defeated bottom-ranked CFBB (3-16) 68-56 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-56. Montbrison dominated on the defensive end, holding CFBB to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 20 CFBB turnovers. It was a great evening for Ukrainian power forward Olga Maznichenko (187-91, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Emilie Duvivier (165-84) helped adding 16 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side forward Kadiatou Sissoko (180-99) responded with 15 points and swingman Tima Pouye (176-99) scored 12 points and 5 assists. Montbrison moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Toulouse. CFBB lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Montbrison will face Toulouse (#8) at home in the next round. CFBB will play against Aulnoye (#10) and hope to win that game.
