Regular Season Round 20: Limoges - Chalon 70-82

Date: February 25, 2017
Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Limoges CSP Elite (9-11) lost at home to second ranked Chalon/Saor (15-5) 82-70 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Limoges CSP Elite was better in fourth quarter 19-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). The other American import point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 5 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. The former international center Ousmane Camara (202-89) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and American guard William Buford (196-90, college: Ohio St., agency: Two Points) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Limoges CSP Elite. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor maintains second position with 15-5 record having just three points less than leader Monaco, which they share with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Limoges CSP Elite at the other side keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Chalon/Saor will face league's leader Monaco at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Limoges CSP Elite will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
