Regular Season Round 19: SIG - Limoges 61-75

An interesting game took place in llkirch-Graff. where higher ranked SIG (8-11) was upset on its own court by thirteenth ranked Limoges (5-14) 75-61. The game without a history. Limoges led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for Limoges especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of U.S. Virgin Islands-American swingman Natalie Day (182-90, college: Portland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Chloe Mantelin (169-97) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Limoges players scored in double figures. Center Celine Schmitt-Sender (185-80) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Celia-Nadia Mauler (168-93) added 8 points and 5 assists in the effort for SIG. Limoges maintains thirteenth place with 5-14 record. SIG at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. Limoges' next round opponent will be higher ranked Reims (#6) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
