Regular Season Round 21: Ardoi - Valle de Egues 79-75

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Ardoi (13-5) defeated 7th ranked Valle de Egues (8-10) in Zizur Mayor 79-75 on Sunday. Ardoi forced 19 Valle de Egues turnovers. Valle de Egues was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for center Andres Zabaleta (200-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Ignacio Urtasun (187-80) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Ivorian power forward Kouassi Konan (204-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Javier Valderrey added 19 points in the effort for Valle de Egues. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Ardoi moved-up to third place in Group A-A, which they share with Easo. Newly promoted Valle de Egues keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Ardoi will face Univ.Burgos (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Valle de Egues will play against Burgos (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
