Rather predictable result when second ranked Treviso Basket (16-7) beat at home 6th ranked Roseto (13-10) 68-58 on Sunday. Treviso Basket forced 20 Roseto turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Andrea Ancellotti (212-88) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Matteo Fantinelli (195-93, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 10 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Treviso Basket players scored in double figures. American power forward Brandon Sherrod (198-92, college: Yale) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import point guard Adam Smith (185-92, college: Georgia Tech) added 20 points respectively for the guests. Treviso Basket maintains second place in A2 with 16-7 record having just two points less than leader Angelico Biella. Loser Roseto dropped to the seventh position with ten games lost. Treviso Basket will face Chieti (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Roseto will play against Mantova (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
