Regular Season Round 20: Porvoon Tarmo - ToPo 68-71

Sixth-ranked Porvoon Tarmo (10-13) made lots of trouble for third ranked ToPo (15-8) on Sunday. The visitors from Helsinki managed to secure only three-point victory 71-68. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-68. ToPo dominated on the defensive end, holding Porvoon Tarmo to just 6 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was Gambian power forward Pierre Jallow (203-79, college: William Jewell) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. American swingman Nigel Moore (195-81, college: Alabama A&M) chipped in 16 points. American guard Cameron Clark (190-93, college: Southwestern, KS) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Levi Giese (206-90, college: Lafayette) added 18 points and 11 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Newly promoted ToPo maintains third position in Division with 15-8 record having four points less than leader TuNMKY. Porvoon Tarmo at the other side keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost. ToPo are looking forward to face league's leader Lahti at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Porvoon Tarmo will play against Jyvaskyla BA (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
