Regular Season Round 22: Vicenza - Faenza 88-101

There was no surprise when 14th ranked Vicenza (6-16) lost at home to fifth ranked Faenza (14-8) 101-88 on Sunday. Faenza made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Vicenza was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for swingman Daniele Casadei (199-81) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Riccardo Iattoni (198-92) contributed with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Umberto Campiello (198-85) replied with 31 points and point guard Daniele Demartini (187-84, agency: Players Group) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for Vicenza. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Faenza maintains fifth position in B with 14-8 record. Vicenza lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Faenza will face San Vendemiano (#15) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vicenza will play against Desio and hope to win that game.
