Regular Season Round 14: Louaize - Moutahed 80-86

The biggest surprise of round 14 was guest Al Moutahed's (8-6) road victory over one of their biggest challengers Louaize (7-7) 86-80 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 86-80. Al Moutahed made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Dewarick Spencer (192-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Ramel Curry (191-80, college: CSU Bakersfield) chipped in 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. International guard Geron Johnson (190-92, college: Memphis) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks and American Travis McKie (201-92, college: Wake Forest, agency: Diamond Sports) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Al Moutahed moved-up to fourth place. Louaize at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Al Moutahed are looking forward to face Tadamon (#7) in Zouk in the next round. Louaize will play on the road against Sagesse in Beirut and is hoping to win this game.
