Regular Season Round 10: Bengaluru - Pune P. 93-91

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Pune P. (3-2) in Kondhwa on Sunday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Bengaluru (2-3) 93-91. Pune P. trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 30-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 91-93 at the end of the game. Bengaluru looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. International guard Vishesh Bhriguvanshi (192-91) had a triple-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Chris Solomon (191-90, college: Kaiser) chipped in 27 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side the former international power forward Amritpal Singh (212-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and American guard Pierre Newton (196-93, college: Minn.-Duluth) scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Pune P. players scored in double figures. Bengaluru moved-up to third place, which they share with Chennai S. and Punjab S. Pune P. at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Delhi C. and Hydrabad S.. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
