Regular Season Round 23: Latina Basket - FCM Ferentino 79-70

Very expected game when 13th ranked FCM Ferentino (9-14) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Latina Basket (13-10) 79-70 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was power forward Mitchell Poletti (205-88) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 17 rebounds. American point guard Keron DeShields (190-92, college: Tennessee St.) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international power forward Angelo Gigli (209-83) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian guard Bernardo Musso (193-86, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Five FCM Ferentino players scored in double figures. FCM Ferentino's coach Riccardo Paolini tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Latina Basket moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser FCM Ferentino keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Latina Basket will face Lighthouse TR (#9) in Trapani in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. FCM Ferentino will play at home against Viola RC (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
